My twin?

My mommy's getting better at this haircut thing. I don't look quite as bad as last time. :P

So I was looking over some of our items for Puppy Love Guam, and noticed that mommy took some pictures of another doggie model while she was in Manila. Her name is Molly and she looks like me! Well, I'm the more mature version. So naturally, I look better. But I guess she'll do. What do you think?

Yummy Pupcicles

I know I keep saying I'll be better at blogging, but it hasn't been happening. You must understand life as a queen is pretty hectic. Plus, judging from my last post, you can see that I had a near breakdown when my Mommy left.

But she's back now, THANK GOD! In the past month, I helped my mommy plan her very first fashion show for a group really cool women. I wish I could have went, but there were going to be too many other rascals there, and I didn't want to lose out on my beauty sleep in case Mommy wanted to stay late.

The great part is always getting to taste test the doggie snacks she plans to share with the other doggie fans of Puppy Love Guam. Now that rainy season is practically over, it has been HOT HOT HOT. Mommy made her awesome pupcicles again. I love them.

I am really liking the fact that Mommy is home all the time now. She still hogs the computer, but at least I know she will always give me a belly rub when I want one and I don't have to deal with the crazy boys all by myself.

On another note, I am so excited for Halloween!!! I won't tell you what I'm going to be yet... but let me just say... I love the costume Mommy made for me. :)

Where are you, Mommy?

My mommy is missing. She left since Friday... I am very upset.

Bryan is making me wake up at 5:30 in the morning, when I am clearly not done with my beauty sleep. I keep giving him the look and trying to tell him that Mommy doesn't wake me up until 8. But he doesn't understand. Ugh. I don't understand why HE's not worried... but I guess he talks to her on the phone and knows where she is. HE JUST WON'T TELL ME!

MOMMY!!! COME BACK!!!

I Got Mail!

It has been days of nonstop rain lately. It just makes me soooooooo sleepy. I think the only exciting thing that's happened is that I got mail. YAY! My mom ordered these cool clothes from a shop called Young Urban Puppy and we got some matching outfits. Check it out:

This one's a holiday dress... I know it's August, but it's never too early to start holiday shopping.

Since it's been so yucky out, my momma's been doing a lot of work from home too... which means I get to share her lunch. Yes! I guess she felt sorry for us not being able to play outside, so she made some special treats for us. Here are some pictures on my mom's Facebook site.
We get to taste the cookies and treats and tell her what a wonderful cook she is. She even let us lick the peanut butter off the spoons! Don't tell Bryan. He doesn't like to share utensils with us :P

New Site Coming Soon!

Busy busy busy... that's my mom. So busy typing typing typing away that she just hogs the computer all the time and I can't update my blog. So, sorry loyal readers. It should be easier now that I got this swanky new laptop. Check me out...

Anyway... life at Casa Maxine has been really dull lately. It's "wet" season now, which means every time I go out to potty, I am literally up to my knees in guck. I hate it. Yet, Brendan and Tilly seem to like it. I don't know what's so fun about running around in mud puddles. Blech.

You know what I love? The beach. But now that it's "wet season" I don't know when I get to go again. The sand's not so fun when it's wet anyway. I like to go when it's just my sister and me. The boys get too rowdy. Speaking of my sister, Tilly, she's been acting kind of weird lately. She's not her usual self and is sleeping and eating a lot. I even heard the word "vet" come out of my mom's mouth lately. Uh-oh. I hope she's okay. Even though she annoys me, I still love her.

In other news, I decided to help my mom with my fashion line and create a blog just for Puppy Love Guam! :) So I will be working on that in a couple weeks and let you all know when it's up. YAY! I'm so excited!

Photo Shoot

My sister Tilly and I had another photo shoot this week. I was so excited, because I got to go on another car ride... and it was a long one!

I had lots of fun digging in the sand, but then Mommy told me to stop because I was getting my clothes dirty. I still look cute with sand on my face, I think.

Look out for the next issue of Motions Magazine where you will see my islandwide debut! Here's a sneak peek of me with one of the human models, Jesse.

In other news, life has been pretty relaxing lately, so I haven't had much to complain about. Mom's been hogging the computer working too, so I haven't had a chance to blog to my friends. I will make sure to tell my mom that I need to update more often. Maybe she'll get me my own computer.

Bark at the Park!

Tomorrow, my mommy said we are going to Bark at the Park. It's this big doggie play date at the beach where I get to see all my doggie friends and everyone gives me treats. I love it! Though I don't exactly know why they say, "Time to go bark at the park" and then when I bark, mommy tells me to stop being mean. Sheesh.

It's been really hot lately, so I'm thinking that's why I got another haircut. It's a good thing my mom isn't on that show, Groomer Has It. I don't have the heart to tell her she's really not doing a good job. But I love her, so I just put on a good face and pretend I like it.

Can You Believe This?!

I hate how little sisters think that they have the right to everything! UGH! She's ruining my bed!!!

Tuesday, June 1, 2010

It was really hot this weekend. I barely even wanted to go outside. Yesterday, I was pacing all around the house, trying to forget that I needed to pee, because I REALLY didn't want to go outside. So I thought about it, and thought about it, and decided I should just use that little room with the giant drinking bowl that Brendan likes to use — no one would notice.

I was wrong. My mommy noticed and I got in trouble. But I just gave her my ultimate cute face like always. Hmm... I have to think of something better the next time I don't want to go outside.

Let's see, what else happened this weekend? Oh yeah, my mom's human brother took out those big things with the wheels. He was going away, from what I could tell. "College" they said. I wonder where that is. It sounds interesting.

So anyway, we had a party for him, and 'MAH,' my mom's mom, was sad. I don't know what the big deal was. It's not like he had to take a B-A-T-H like I did. That always happens when people come over for a party. They think I don't know what a bath is just because they spell it out. Hello?! I see you holding the shampoo, silly! It's okay though. I got to wear a party outfit, which always gets me more attention.

At the party, I almost got away with some barbecue chicken, but that dumb Tilly had to go and wag her giant tail so my mommy noticed us by the grill. She ran so fast to get us away from it. Hahaha! My mom's so funny when she runs! I like making her do that.

That's pretty much all that's been happening this week. I'm gonna go lay back down on the couch now. My mom said she "shampooed" the couch... so weird. Now I have to rub my scent all over it again.

Back from the Dead

Okay... I know you all missed me since I haven't been on for a while now. The truth is I was a little bit depressed.

See, my mom took out those giant containers with the wheels on them again which only meant one thing -- she'd be leaving for a longer time than usual. I'm fine when she leaves in the morning and comes back in time for dinner, but not when someone else is in charge of dinner. Boohockie.

But I guess one good thing always comes out of it... she comes back with lots of new toys!!! She even got me a really nice green sweater... check it out...

I was just a wee bit sleepy when I tried it on, so don't mind the disheveled look.

Modeling Portfolio

One of the things my mommy likes to do is put clothes on me. It's one of those things that humans have to do, because God punished them by not giving them fur.

Anyway... I don't mind it so much... it makes Mommy really happy and she calls me the best model ever. Well, were you really surprised?

She loved it so much that she decided to start an entire pet product line, just for me. I mean, if you're just going to depend on what you find in stores, it's really hard to find something that's fit for a queen. Mommy called it Puppy Love Guam -- because when you see me, you can't help but fall in love. :)

Here are some of my modeling pictures. If you like what you see, you can see more on www.puppyloveguam.com. I'm even on the front page!

Sorry... no autographs.

Easter with the Mongrels

Very few things get me giddy in this day and age. But I gotta admit, car rides still bring out the puppy in me. At first, I thought my mom was just cleaning up my toy box, but when she brought out her beach bag, I knew I was going for a ride.

I really don't know why she insists on putting these leashes on everyone. She really only needs to put one on me. I am fully capable of guiding her where she needs to go. But I guess since the other humans in the house were going too, she needed to make sure they didn't get lost either. Boy, if I wasn't around, they would have. Zeke and Brendan kept leading them in the water, but I barked at them to let them know they were going the wrong way.

The retrievers -- Brendan and Tilly -- always act like it's such a big deal to play in water. I really don't get it. But oh well. I just sat under the tree with Mummie (that's what my mom calls her) and watched everyone go crazy. Every now and then I had to bark at humans to stop running, but I guess they couldn't hear me, because they kept right on running. I finally had to just take a nap because they were driving me nuts.

At least the mongrels were preoccupied and they were tired out. When we got home, we had our dinner and everyone just went to bed. Maybe we should go for car rides more often, if that's what it takes to get them to behave right after dinner.

Ten Dog Years

My name is Maxine. If you're wondering if that photo there is a cutesy little photo some weird woman posted is me, well, it is. I'm a 10-year-old shih tzu who, up until three years ago, was an only child. Then my mom made a new friend and decided to make my life hell by bringing home what can only be described as dogs who don't know any better. I mean, really? Who is THAT happy ALL THE TIME?

I'm here to tell you that dogs have bad days too. And for me, they're coming a lot more frequently. So I decided to start this little blog so I can have an outlet to vent my frustration. Don't get me wrong, I love my life -- usually. But I guess, I owe it to you to explain.

I grew up being loved for my cuteness -- naturally. So all I have to do is be cute, and people just eat it up. Especially my mom. Though sometimes, I think she's lost it because she thinks it's cute even when I scowl. I guess I just can't help being cute. Anyway... most of the time, I spend the day laying on the couch, because apparently, I'm only allowed to sleep on it when the people aren't home. It's really weird.

A few years ago, my mom made a friend who started coming over to our house all the time. I didn't really care much about him. He took all my mom's attention away from me! I even pooped near his shoes, hoping he'd go away, but he didn't. Then he just never left. But I guess he's grown on me. I can't say I care too much about him taking my place on the bed though.

Soon after, my mom and her new friend built a house and thought I needed brothers and sisters. Ugh. I guess they couldn't control themselves. So now, I have six brothers and one sister -- Ben, Jerry, Brendan, Billy, Zeke, Zeus and Tilly -- all who think they're bigger than me. I always hear my mom saying that they're pitbulls and golden retrievers and rotties, but whatever. I'm the oldest. So I'm the biggest. Right?

I'll get around to posting pictures of them so you know who's who. Every day, they do something that makes me want to set them straight. But I guess they make life more interesting. K, I'm tired now. I'll write more later.
